BlackBerry Backup and Restore
(This process requires BlackBerry Desktop Manager to be installed. This can be downloaded from here)
Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager by either double clicking the icon on your desktop or by going through the Start menu.

Once open, connect your current BlackBerry device to the computer using the USB cable and select the Backup and Restore option.

To backup the full contents of the device select the back up button.

Choose a location to save the backup too and name the file before selecting Save.

The backup process will then begin and a progress bar will be displayed.

Once complete a confirmation message will be displayed.

You can then choose to restore this data to the same BlackBerry (if data is lost) or to another BlackBerry (if a replacement device is required). To do this, connect the new device and select the Backup and Restore option again.

This time, select the Restore option.

Select the Backup file you wish to restore to the connected device and click Open.

A box will appear displaying the information which will be transferred to the device. To proceed select the Yes button.

The restore process will then begin and a progress bar will be displayed.

Once complete a confirmation message will be displayed.

You can now disconnect the BlackBerry from the computer and check all data has been restored.
