BlackBerry Desktop Software install
Download the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager from http://uk.blackberry.com/services/desktop/
From there, click on either the Download for PC button or Download for Mac depending on the system you use.

Choose whether to receive information from RIM or not and then click the download button.

From the popup select Run.

A progress bar will appear showing the status of the download.

Once the download is complete click Run when prompted to run the software.

The WinZip Self-Extractor will run for a couple of minutes.

When prompted, select the language for install.

When the InstallShield Wizard appears click Next >

Select the country where you are located.

Once you have read and agreed to the license agreement click to accept the terms and then select Next >

Select the location to save the file to and click Next >

Select the setup type and click Next >

Select the media programs to install if required and click Next >

Select the integration option. This relates to the tariff you are on. Select the 'Integrate with personal email account' if on the BlackBerry Internet tariff (approx £8.51p/m) even if it is being used with a work email account. Select the 'Integrate with a work email account' if on the BlackBerry Enterprise Tariff (approx £28p/m) if you use a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server only - Select the type of server in your organisation and then click Next >

Select the installations options required from the list and click Next >

The InstallShield Wizard will then begin the installation of the software.

This will be followed by the Media Manager installation (if selected).

Once complete a confirmation box will appear to confirm this. Click Finish.

A popup box will appear prompting you to restart the system before any changes take effect. Click Yes to restart now or No if you want to restart later.
